The Gambler

Kat and I visited with Joe, Dana and Bo on Saturday and played euchre with them. Actually their dog Bo is pretty smart, but has not been trained how to play euchre yet.

Shuttle Bus Driver

This is the old lady that rocks it out on the Sullivan Shuttle Bus. Ok, she's nice, but doesn't really rock it. She plays NPR or classical most of the time.

13 days later

I have been caged (cage=car) now for thirteen days, and it feels like months. The weather today is PERFECT...overcast to keep it cool, but only a slight chance of rain this evening. If I didn't have so many friends who like to ride, I'd hope for rain just so I wouldn't feel like I was missing out. When I first got my bike, it was for a dual purpose. First, I wanted to save money on gas because it was so incredibly expensive at the time. The other reason was to have a second vehicle in case my car was in the shop. Three years later, I am secretly wishing I had a second bike instead of a car. Yes, I know its not practical...I have two children and would never be able to be without a car of some sort, but...

East meets West

Kat got the East meets West fajitas. She says it is awesome. Unfortunately the appetizer was so huge we will end up taking most of it home. Groupon rocks!

Bo

this is Bo, Joe and Dana's new dog. Logan made him so nervous just trying to play with him that the dog threw up. Logan cried when he found out it was his fault. He's a pretty tender-hearted kid. We did have a nice time visiting, and I hope to go over this weekend and play some cards with 'em.

Peepee pads

Splotty still uses pee pee pads to do his business sometimes. I found these online and they are just a little skinnier, but do a good job. As absorbent at $0.11 each as the ones that cost $0.22 each.

Filthy smokers

I think there is a special place in hell for smokers who flick their butts out. I'm sure they are stupid enough to think that just because its small, its not really littering, or it doesn't make a difference.

99% on my test! That is 198 points out of 200. We have four of these. Mr. Carroll said he suspects most people get the same grade from the class as they do on the first test. That would be sweet!

This chick is on FB constantly through the whole class. I would hope she fails, but I don't want that on my karma.

Sighted: Immaturity

This chick started throwing chairs around and swearing when she got her test grade. She asked the instructor for help and he said "The first thing you have to do is calm down." I was packing up my stuff to get the hell out of there...I'm bringing home a solid B on that test.

Why is it some people (generally teens/early 20's) don't really know how to act in public? This guy from the other day (who plays his music full blast) has friends who act just like him. If I sat down at a table...a cafe table where someone was already seated before me and saw they were studying, I would not sit next to them if I was in the mood to, say, hoot & holler, slap the table, shove my friends, and shout across the bloody room. No, I would go outside, or sit & talk quietly because that's the way my mother raised me. Should all their mother have been slapped in the mouth and sent to parenting classes? No, I doubt it. I am sure this is not their fault...or at least not all of them. These young men are old enough to take responsibility for their actions. When I was their age, I don't recall acting like a stupid animal.

Stage One: Robot Head w/Brain

Logan wants to be a robot for halloween. Stage one is complete. We have assembled the head, so we now have our control center and housing for the robot brain. Thanks to Logan for donating the (brain) raw materials.
