Logan...Mr. Walking Pneumonia!

Update from their mother:  Prescriptions were $120!!!!  And Logan has walking pneumonia!  I am FREAKING OUT!!!

The kids medical checkup

The kids just got back from their checkup with their new Doctor. Their mother gave me the full report. They both have ear infections, and Logan has a cough. They got a total of 5 prescriptions between them. They both have to go in and get general blood work done (for the new doctor). Plus they are going to check both their thyroids, because they are both in the 95th percentile on height, and the 92nd percentile on weight! The doctor said Lexie's expected height will be five foot ten inches, and Logan will be six foot three!!! Lexie is developing some already, so they're also going to check for "early puberty".

Insomnia

I have been diagnosed with bronchitis, and a touch of bronchial pneumonia. My doctor doesn't like to take any chances. She gave me antibiotics, inhaler, and steroids. I don't know what the hell is doing it, but I can't sleep. Seems like being sick, I need my rest....

Guess I'll blog, and write, and fiddle around on the net. Nothing bloody else to do, eh?

Tattoo

I went to Tattoo Charlie's yesterday after work. I had my tattoo artist check me out, and he said likely I'll have to get a touch-up. He said either I put on too much lotion, or I got it too wet. Either way, I don't know how I did it except for showering!!! Ah well, I think it will be at no cost to get it touched up, since it didn't go right to begin with.

The new car is doing fine. I went yesterday at lunch and got my KY driver's license. Ugh. I guess that means I'm a Kentuckian now. Possibly not, since I wasn't born here and don't own any land. That's ok, I wasn't born in Indiana or own land there EITHER!

Theresia got me a Hooter's t-shirt last week. I wore it for casual Friday today. She got a matching one for Logan. I got a start of Swedish Ivy from a girl here at work. It has developed roots in water, now I need to transplant it! Today is Friday the 13th. Another month and Logan will be 5 years old! Theresia and I watched 40 Year Old Virgin. It was very funny, but not as good as Wedding Crashers.

Man, its a nasty rainy day today, and I'm feeling beat...

Fire!

Saturday night, Theresia and I went out to karaoke. When we came back early in the morning, there were odd looking suds out in the parking lot. I thought that some kids had been out playing, but apparently there was a fire in my apartment building!!! The apartment manager was in the hallway and they were putting a door on the apartment below mine. The bottom apartment caught fire some time around midnight. The apartment above it on the 2nd floor had no answer at the door, so they had to bust it down to check for fire (there was none). My apartment on the 3rd floor (above the one that they busted the door in) was fine...EXCEPT...my room mate's mother came out and left the door wide open. Smoke got into our apartment and there is a fine layer of soot on everything that has to be cleaned. My bedroom remained sealed. It smells fine and no soot, but my bathroom door was open, and I had to clean everything thoroughly. All the kitchen had to be cleaned, even inside the cabinets which I guess were opened. My room-mate's mother is crazy and never leaves the apartment, so when she finally left, she just kinda ran out screaming--or the firefighters had to drag her out. It still smells like smoke, but its not really strong. Since I cleaned the bathroom, you can't tell it too much. I need to mop the floor and wash the rugs then it should be completely fine. If I could catch my room mate's mother sleeping, I would unload a whole bottle of Fabreeze on that living room and dining room carpet.

Tattoo

My girlfriend got me an early Valentine's Day present. A tattoo on my left shoulder of the Ouroboris which is the fabled serpent-eating-its-tail. Its in a celtic type knot design. I'm getting another one later on my right arm with the kids names...

New Year's Eve

I had a really nice New Year's Eve. Not an exciting one, but it was good nonetheless. The kids and I went over to Theresia's house about 7pm for supper. She fixed pork tenderloin, and black beans and rice. It was very good, just like almost everything she fixes. We rented a bunch of movies! The kids watched a Scooby Doo movie, and a Wallace and Gromitt movie. Theresia and I watched Brothers Grimm, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Well, I watched Hitchhikers Guide, Theresia said it was stupid and fell asleep. I woke her up at midnight though...

The next morning, she got a call about her niece and had to rush off to the hospital. I stayed until about eleven. I fixed breakfast for all the kids. I did scrambled eggs with sausage, cheddar cheese, and mushrooms, biscuits, sausage, and hash browns. Everybody seemed to like it. As far as I know, Theresia never got to try the breakfast. She spent the whole day at the hospital.
