The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Elliptical
I thought the elliptical machine at the varsity club was really cool! It didn't seem like much more strenuous than a regular treadmill, but when I got done I was pouring sweat, and I could barely walk!!!! I had to hold on to the hand rails going down the steps from the work out room. I thought I was gonna have to ask the kids to help me get my left leg into the car. Sadly, I did two sets of 15 minutes with about a 3 or 4 minute break in between. I drank a full bottle of water while I was doing it and listed to my MP3s. It makes you take a faster pace to keep going at a consistant run. Everyone says its a lot better on joints and knees. It is directly above the pool so you can look out and keep an eye on the kids. I was happy about that. Today though I only stayed for about 30-45 minutes because the pool was closed and Lexie and Logan were down watching Spongebob. I didn't want them to be bored. I don't know why I was so worried because lately TV has become such a treat during the week. They hardly ever get to watch it.
