The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

My dear sweet Judy...
Judy is gone. She sold on ebay Friday. The young fellow who came with his mom and dad seemed nice enough. They all seemed nice and the mom was the one to drive her away. She had a hard time reaching the pedals and shifting. You know, I've always said you don't drive Judy as much as she drives you... I will miss the old girl. She was the best damn car I ever owned. Probably the most distinctly beautiful car as well. I hated to get rid of her but we needed the money for vacation and I have not had the car licensed since I got the Alero. She needed to be with somebody who was going to finish restoring her and taking care of her. Some day a long time from now, I want to get a little three bedroom house for me and the kids. And when I do, I want a two car garage. One side for my daily driver or tools and stuff, and one side for another Ford Falcon. I asked the people "Please take good care of her." and the mom said "Oh, we will..." I have never felt so much love for an inanimate object before in my life. I think I will miss that car a lot more than any pet, or woman (present girlfriend excepted) in my life.
