Saturday morning I watched my girlfriend's 8yr old girl, Rachael. Lexie, Logan, Rachael and I watched eragon while Theresia was at a class that teaches you all about ceramic tile and how to use it. She's very industrious, and wants to re-do her bathroom. The girls were playing hot-potato with Logan's body, and somebody shoved him too hard. He fell and hit his face on the carpeted floor and got up with a bloody nose. He was freaked out, but fine 10 minutes later. When Theresia got back, we split up. I took the kids to Bardstown road and we walked around looking at stuff. There was this one shop that has very upscale furniture. They had one of the "hollow egg chairs" and the kids were dying to sit in it. Well I let Logan, then after about 10 seconds, I told him it was Lexie's turn. She sat and was getting ready to spin around in the thing and I told her "Before you do that, why don't you take a look at the price tag hanging right beside your head." she saw that it was like $2200 and she told Logan "We need to be really careful in here!" She has a good concept of cost-I have always explained everything to her. So far she's never gotten tired of my talking! Last night I explained how people can buy something that is more than they can pay for, the ideas of loans, credit, banks, and interest. It was at bedtime and poor Logan said "Can we get washed up for bed now?" And Lexie still wanted to hear what I had to say. Mainly that's the difference between their ages.
I watched Rachael again Saturday evening when Theresia had to work doing some data entry for this charity auction. I never really mind watching her because the kids most always have fun playing together and it not any harder than watching my two. We went out that night to the Grocery and we got the stuff to make pizza. We made one with pepperoni, ham, and mushrooms, and the other one with no mushrooms. Theresia came back about 10pm. Since it was a weekend, I kept the kids up. Yesterday we watched a movie called First Born while the kids played. After that, we went out for brunch at Shoneys, then to the park. We were at the park about half the day. After the park, we dropped R and T off at home, and we did a little birthday shopping for Lexie. Her birthday isn't until the middle of next month but I told her a few things I was going to get her. She got to get one thing early-helmet and pads for scooter riding. After that, we went back to the park for a bit and they rode their scooters. Then we had Thai food for supper and went home. I also scotch-guarded the fabric on my couch last night. I have had sheets over it to protect it until I could do that. It has to dry for 12 hours. After the kids went to bed, I worked on the thing I am making for my sister. She just moved and its going to be a housewarming present.
