My co-worker Jennifer gave me this thing. It is called fruit leather. its like a fruit rollup for adults. not organic but all natural...contains all the crap that is in one serving of fruit.

The girls from Lexie's troop represented the country of China. Australia sang a song, U.S. did square dancing, and Italy had a girl who played a song on her violin. Right now Lexie is finishing the night watching an episode of Hanna Montana while Logan has fallen asleep on the couch.

Today was thinking day with the girl scouts. Lexie's troop represented China.

New Glasses

I had to get some new glasses. My old ones were three years old and I had contacts from last year but I got to the point where I couldn't wear them for half a day without them bothering my eyes. Most days I couldn't even wear them for 8 hours. These are made by Converse. I am still getting used to how they look on me.

Any picture of me is bad, I know this, but is the color of this shirt totally gay??? I may just be sensitive to lighter colors-I have never liked pastels, but I was thinking the tan stripes would make it work...

Skirty Girl

I found a couple of skirts at Wal-mart for lexie. She has been begging to wear skirts but didn't have any appropriate ones...just ones that were all too little. I found her two cute but modest skirts and I was so thrilled that I got the correct size!

My neighbors suck. across from me and beside me they set their nasty-ass trash begs out in the hallway! what kind of lazy bastard does this when the dumpster is another 20 feet away?? and its not like they are 70 years old. they are younger than me!!

Empress of China

Shizue and I went to Empress of China restaurant on Saturday for lunch. It was really good, fairly inexpensive and I think the kids will like to go sometime. The weird thing was she went to the bathroom like four times while we were there. Must have been trying to get her makeup just right or something.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Fried Fish...Logan had been asking to go to LJS for weeks. We usually go to Captain D's because they have "kids eat free" on Thursdays, but last week we had to get something quick on the way to take sister to Girl Scouts so we stopped here. Buck

Theresia took care of a friend's dog this weekend. He is a beagle mix named Buck and is a really great dog. I walked him several times and played fetch and it was lots of fun. Maybe in a couple-three years...

Couch

Taxes this year are for three things. The first was catching up on some bills. Next is getting a new couch. The one we had was a housewarming present from Joe, we got it used at the DAV and it didn't last long. The last thing is vacation which we are taking at the end of May. We are going to Florida to see Mickey and my sister Bonnie.

Gain?/Saturday night's alright for fighting

I have gained a couple pounds. Its enough so that my clothes are fitting a little tighter and that makes me worry. I have never been good at the diet thing. I spilled coffee all over my shirt and tie on the way to work this morning. I had to go to Kroger and get lunch for the kids to take. They are in the CEP all day because its presidents day. They are off tomorrow too. I have parent-teacher conference today. Lexie is doing ok but I think she could be doing better.

I went out with Theresia saturday night. We went to listen to my favorite band, the Big Rock Show. There was this guy making really inappropriate comments. We got into a fight and started wailing on each other. They broke us up and the people around us sided with me because they heard what he was saying and saw that he threw the first punch. They kicked him out and let me stay. My jaw still hurts a little and I think I aggregated my pinched nerve in my back, but I think i'll be ok. I have an appointment with my doctor next monday so I will talk to her about it.

lunch with logan on his birthday

I went to school to have lunch with my boy today, February 14th. I also dropped off cupcakes for the class Valentine's party. I stayed for story time and left after that when they went to the library.

Work & Logan's Party

Well things are up in the air here at work. Our manager quit and there has been some talk of my taking control of the department. They have decided nothing about the supervisory position yet but at least Jodie, the old supervisor, has settled down. She still acts like she has authority over the newest people, but she is working within the boundaries of her CSR position. She comes to me now for decisions instead of just going off on her own. I will get the Nextel phone and be in charge of things starting monday. No pay increase in sight, but a step is a step. The exact statement was to "keep an eye on things..."

Logan's birthday is tomorrow. We have to go out shopping for goodie bag stuff tonight.

Theresia's New Hair

Theresia got her hair cut Saturday. I went with her. I was worried it would get chopped way short, but the guy who did it had some sense and didn't let her go insane.
I'm so lucky to have a girlfriend who is beautiful, sweet, kind, and even sometimes understanding, and occasionally sane! Love this gal! Oh, she's a good cook too--even though she will deny it. She made me a couple pasta dishes now that I want seconds on!!!!

Theresia, my girlfriend got her hair cut this weekend and it looks great! It was getting too long for her to deal with. I liked her long soft dark hair and I was worried that she was gonna get it cut short, but it ended up not too short and it really looks right splendid!

Weekend

This weekend was pretty good. Theresia and I watched John Tucker Must Die (well she fell asleep and I watched it--so I sent her home with the DVD so she could finish watching it), The Guardian and Employee of the Month. We also watched some wierd movie called The Gathering (I believe). Its a freaky "Blockbuster Exclusive" movie. The best was Employee of the Month. It was hilarious!

We went out to eat at Queen of Sheeba restaruant on Bardstown road. I thought the place was really neat because it was just so different...no utensils and you eat everything using this flat bread. It's served on one big plate and we both eat from the same plate. Theresia said she would not be inclined to come back, but I think I would. I think the kids would like it too becuase the food was good, and they would appreciate the uniqueness. We were going to go see the Bedrockerz Saturday night, but after all the shopping and running around, we were just beat. I am getting old...

Sunday, being the awesome girlfriend that she is, Theresia even helped me wrap all of Logan's presents! Can you believe that? After that, I dropped her off at her place and we went our seperate ways. I went to do laundry. Not an exciting weekend, but a good one. We promised each other that we would definately go out next weekend! Oh, and I didn't stay up to find out who won the Superbowl. I don't even know if I won any money on the board at work...

Fern Creek Wal-Mart Sucks!

My girlfriend and I went to the Wal-Mart in Fern Creek last night to do the shopping for Logan's birthday this next weekend. Lexie and Logan and I were there LAST weekend and he picked out the things he wanted and I took digital pictures of them. Lexie then looked at the pictures to decide what she wanted to get for him. I went back (you know--after payday and when he wasn't with us) later so it would still be a surprise. Well, they had decided to do a complete remodeling of the store and leave it open anyway!

WHAT A TOTAL BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!! I couldn't find hardly anything that he had picked out the week before! If it hadn't been for Theresia, I would have completely lost my mind. Its times like that when she keeps me sane. We finally did find most of the stuff, or at least substitute things that he had picked out too, but still, its just the damn point...
